CIM Sudbury Branch – November, 2016

CIM Sudbury Student Night 2016 hosted close to 100 students from Laurentian University, Cambrian College and College Boreal. This popular annual event reflects our local branch's efforts to build awareness among youth about careers in the mineral sector, and offers them a unique opportunity to network with seasoned mining professionals, as well as those who have more recently launched their industry careers.

Dynamic Earth's Atlas Copco Theatre hosted a capacity crowd, where keynote speaker Paul Levesque, a Technical Services Superintendent with Goldcorp, highlighted the world's leading gold producer and presented an update on Porcupine Gold Mines' use of drone surveying and technology projects currently underway at the mines.
