Inclusion is Intentional - featuring speaker Fran Hansen

CIM Sudbury Branch Webinar - October GMM

Thu, Oct 22, 2020 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM (EDT)

Francinne (Fran) Hansen,

Vale Head of HR Base Metals

Diversity means difference – of background, experience, ethnicity, gender, orientation, ability, education, culture, and the list goes on.  Savvy business leaders know that diversity matters; it’s not just good business, it’s good for business, with real and tangible benefits.

In our highly dynamic industry, diversity is a key component to our growth and continued success. Diverse and inclusive businesses are better able to innovate; attract, develop, and retain top talent; and create authentic connections with our colleagues, customers, suppliers, and the communities we serve.

On October 22, join Francinne (Fran) Hansen, Head of People for Vale’s global Base Metals business, to learn why diversity matters to her, to Vale and why now, more than ever, actions speak louder than words when it comes to building inclusive organizations.

Through her engaging style, Fran will lead you to an insightful discussion around with how we define diverse and inclusive workplaces as well as provide a primer on gender intelligence learnings you can apply at work and home.

BIO: Fran Hansen is an Operations and Human Resources Executive with more than 25 years of experience in general management and human resources success across multiple industries and countries. Before joining vale, Fran worked for the largest Canadian retailer in Canada, Loblaw  Companies Limited, where she served as Vice-President, Talent. In her role, she was accountable for the design, development, and implementation of all strategies, programs, and policies across the talent management lifecycle, including Diversity and Inclusion.
