Pam Schwann, B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., P.Geo., ICD.D.
Pam Schwann is President of the Saskatchewan Mining Association and a respected leader with more than 35 years of experience in the mining sector, government, and stakeholder relations. She is recognized for building effective partnerships among industry, suppliers, governments, and educational institutions to advance Saskatchewan’s globally leading mineral industry.
Pam holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology from the University of Regina, an M.Sc. from Carleton University, is a registered Professional Geoscientist (APEGS) and has recently earned her ICD.D. Designation for Professional Director Certification for Corporate Governance.
She brings extensive governance experience, having served eight years on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Board, including two years as Chair. She has also served on the boards of Innovation Saskatchewan and WESTEST and currently serves on The Municipal (Potash) Tax Sharing Board and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
Prior to joining the SMA, Pam held senior leadership roles with the Government of Saskatchewan. Her contributions to public service and industry leadership have been recognized through the Premier’s Award of Excellence and the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
