CIM Sudbury Branch representatives Sue Tessier and Trang Tran-Valade presented a $25,000 donation towards upgrading the Department of Earth Sciences’ petrographic microscope facilities.

 

With the help of the CIM’s generous donation, the DES microscopy teaching lab will soon be fully equipped with 25 state-of-the-art Olympus microscopes, all of which will have the four needed objectives. It will furthermore support the upcoming establishment of a graduate student research lab.
